Day 1: NAIROBI – LAKE NAKURU

Depart Nairobi in the morning for leisurely drive to Lake Nakuru, which is is one of many soda lakes, surrounded by volcanic cones that have formed on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The lake is home to millions of Flamingos and Pelicans, who turn the lake pink with their numbers.  Nakuru is also becoming renowned for its successful protection of Rhinos inside the park where they are easily viewed. Along the river's edge, among the acacia trees, the shy, solitary leopard may be seen.
