This Safari is designed to give varied game viewing.


Day 1: Nairobi

Upon arrival into Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to the Sarova Stanley Hotel for overnight stay. Afternoon at leisure. Optional excursions to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage or the Karen Blixen Museum with Giraffe Manor are also available, Dinner at the world Famous Carnivore

Day 2: Nairobi - Shaba

Head north after an early breakfast, pass near Thika and continue through some breathtaking scenery. After Nanyuki town, you'll continue north, eventually reaching a dusty outpost known as Isiolo. From here it's a fairly short hop to Shaba, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive.

Day 3:  Shaba

After a breathtaking game drive experienced in the Shaba Game Reserve "born free land", enjoy a private sumptuous breakfast by the pool listening to the sounds from the resident birds within the lodge. Depart for a nature walk with the resident naturalist who will educate you on the flora and fauna. Time to relax at the lodge before an afternoon game drive.

Day 4: Shaba to Lake Nakuru

Leaving Shaba behind, travel south crossing the northernmost foothills of Mount Kenya. Here you'll head west to Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson's Falls for its 237 foot cascade. Continue south to Lake Nakuru. Once in the park, there will be a game drive en route to the lodge. Following lunch and a siesta, there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge for sunset. This evening enjoy the performance of traditional dancing at the Rift Valley Bar terrace.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara

After an early morning breakfast leave the flamingo fringed Lake Nakuru behind and head for Njoro town, where you begin your ascent up over the top of the Mau Escarpment. Then travel towards Narok, the gateway to the Masai Mara. You'll travel across the "breadbasket" of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Mara in time for lunch. Following lunch and a siesta, there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge for sunset.

Day 6 - Masai Mara

Early morning and afternoon game drives with a visit to the Isokon Masai cultural village onsite. Hot air balloon flights may be pre-booked at an additional cost, please ask for details. In the evening enjoy a spectacular dining experience of international and local cuisine, set up in the privacy of the Camp's 'Lion Paw' pool side. Interval entertainment will also be provided.

Day 7 - Maasai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara for Nairobi, arriving by midday.
