80 kilometers east of Meru, and 348 kilometers from Nairobi, is a wilderness to behold: the Meru national park. The park covers 870 kilometers of mostly semi-arid land, receiving low amounts of rainfall each year.

The composition of the park includes a variety of forests, rivers and mountain, all which combine to produce one extraordinary landscape.

The park is also rich with wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, zebras, giraffes, hippopotamus and many more. The fields are also home to over 300 bird species.
