Shaba | National Reserve | Kenya
PDF Print E-mail

Shaba national reserve is 314 kilometers from Nairobi.

The reserve was made famous by the late Joy Adamson and Elsa the lioness, of the ‘born free’ movie.

The park sits on a 200 square kilometer piece of semi-arid wilderness, and is home to a splendid array of wildlife. They include zebras, elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, ostrich and plenty of bird species.

The Ewaso nyiro running through the park provides a source of life for the reserve's flora and fauna.

A trip through the usually rough terrain provides for a memorable experience for both new and regular visitors.
