Today your African Safari kicks into high gear! Depart Nakuru in the morning for the Maasai Mara. The Maasai Mara is the jewel of Africa in terms of its animal rich wealth and its bird haven.
The Mara is the home to the largest population of lions in Kenya; these magnificent beasts spend most of the day sleeping in the shade of acacia trees. Vast herds of buffalo, Zebra, and wildebeest roam the plains. Impala, gazelle, giraffe and hartebeest grace the landscape, and the cautious topi may also be seen standing sentinel on earth mounds on constant look-out of predators
After your game drive head back to the lodge to freshen up and later enjoy a hearty dinner.
Overnight at Olumara Luxury Tented Camp or Sopa Mara in Maasai Mara on full-board basis

Today we recommend taking a full day spent game viewing across (from 0800 1830hrs) the rich tree studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plain's game, black manned lion, leopard and cheetah. It also has numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya.

If you are lucky to see the annual migration you will find wildebeest and the occasional zebra huddled in their thousands on one side of the river; their sounds filling the African air. Inside the river, large crocodiles lay and wait. For a moment the Wildebeest seem to hesitate, each anxious to cross, but for some reason none make a move. Then suddenly, one brave wildebeest steps forth and takes the first plunge into the muddy waters of the Mara river. This sets of a stampede, with each animal for itself, swimming and fighting to get to the other side. The crocodiles rush in for the kill, not wanting to waste this golden opportunity. This is a marvelous spectacle that will imprint itself into your memories for the rest of your life.
After a full day game drive return to the lodge.
Tonight we have a special treat for you. You will enjoy a bush dinner under the stars followed by entertainment and dancing from the local Maasai community. Donít be shy to join in on the song and dance!
